“Uberization of the World”, New Delhi

The peer-to-peer (P2P) economy is taking over the world. The number of people who never stayed with an AirBnB host, never used Uber for a ride, never owned assets in cryptocurrencies are diminishing every day, and the share of people who never heard about them is approaching zero astonishingly quickly. But as with all new developments, the critics were not long in coming: The sharing economy is making people less save, allows big corporations to pursue monopoly power, aggravates the housing situation in high-density areas, and reduces accountability and responsibility.

In this Socratic seminar, we want to better understand what’s at stake here, covering topics as diverse as the meaning of entrepreneurship, creative destruction, the effects regulations and price gouging. Come join us for this amazing discussion among a highly intellectual group of students!

Deadline for Applications: March 9, 2018
